Dressmaking Beginners Workshop – PJ Bottoms, Lounge Wear

Time: 10am – 3.30pm (Please arrive at 9.45am for a 10.00am start)

Experience: To join the workshop, you must have completed one of our sewing machine basics workshops or be at a similar level of experience.

Pj’s or Lounge Pants, they are super comfy trousers and perfect to snuggle in! This workshop is great for those wanting an introduction to using commercial patterns and those keen to build their confidence in dressmaking and machine sewing. You will learn how to cut out and construct your garment, how to finish seams and hems. You will get lots of tips and advice along the way in a fun relaxed workshop. These are great to make for yourself or as a gift. The beginning of an exciting journey into creating your own clothes. The pattern is included in this class which is worth £13.50. The pattern comes in a UK size range of 6-24 (hip 31-51″ and Waist 22-42″). If you need a pattern outside of this size, please contact us.

Workshop Materials: The pattern is included in the price but the rest of materials are not included and will need to be purchased separately. A list of materials will be sent to you once the booking has been made. If you need help with this our staff will be very happy to help you with your requirements. Please be aware that you may want to wait to purchase workshop materials until the minimum number of students has been reached.

Sewing Machines: We do advise if you have your own sewing machine then it would be most beneficial for you to learn on one that you will be using on a regular basis. Please bring your manual with you. If you don’t have a sewing machine then we do have a number that can be rented out for workshops these will be rented on a first come first serve basis, please contact us to arrange this.

Sewing Kit: Please bring with you a general sewing kit e.g, scissors, needles, thread, bobbins, pins.
